Jackson Dodsworth Residence

In 2020, Planning Interiors was asked to transform a rustic cabin in Lake Lanier into a permanent Residence. The original house is an “A” frame structure built by the Owner’s father in the 1960’s. The 900 square foot home had a loft, small kitchen, and small bathroom, and was located right on Lake Lanier. In order to turn it into a permanent residence, PI had to provide two wings. One for the new primary suite and the other housing the kitchen, porch, laundry room, and storage. A separate structure was added as a detached garage. It was important for the client to maintain the original integrity of her father’s cabin, as seen in the final result The Home has a relaxed elegance which meets and exceeds the client’s expectation.
